New year of 2020
Well it is now the year 2020. Who knew that we would still be alive and living in this year. So far there is no weird clothing, flying cars in the air, and aliens that travel and communicate with us on a daily basis. Yet, this year is just like the last century, just updated on electronics, medicine, science, and other stuff.
What will this year bring us as a nation and as us individually? It seems that currently our US president is possibly being impeached deciding on what the Senate has to decide. Our foreign countries, Iraq and other Middle East countries and China is not too happy with America.
Yet, I am trying to live each day this year the best that I can. I know that I can't do anything about the verdict of the US president, nor can I do anything about delegating about how to best proceed with foreign countries. What I can do is learn to be a friend to those around me, accept friends of other countries, and know that we are all humans trying to live on this planet Earth.

Easter the time to reflect on the Savior.
Easter is a time to reflect on the Savior Jesus Christ. He ministered, taught, served, and died for us. He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane while taking upon all our sins, trials, tribulations, problems, etc. that everyone that will live on the earth will be going through. He also died that we will not be subject to death and of the grave. That after we die we will be able to live and be resurrected. That we will be able to see everyone that has died before we die.
I look forward to visiting my ancestors as well as my relatives again after I die. I look forward to visiting my one cousin, Troy Bennett, who was like a brother to me more than as a cousin. He died a few years ago and it was a hard death for me to go through. It took me a few months to get over his death. I am much better now, but still miss him dearly. Though I know that he is watching me on the other side of the veil.
This Easter, let us remember the Savior Jesus Christ and the sacrafice that he did for us so we can live again after we die and be forgiven of our sins so we can repent and have the opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father again.

Me dressed up as Professor Flitwick in Harry Potter.
We were at his Warwick Davis's table getting an autograph for my brother-in-law. We had left his table to go somewhere else, when a volunteer came up to us and said that we forgot something. We found out that Warwick loved my costume so much that he autographed a picture of his character in Harry Potter for free. He had never seen anyone go through so much effort into dressing up like his character in Harry Potter. He called my costumer "superb"!

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The church that I associate with is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has gone through lots of changes since April of 2018. The Elders and High Priests Quorum is now one quorum. HT/VT is done away with and in its place is being told to Minister to each other. Church service is now 2 hours instead of 3 hours with learning more gospel teaching at the home through out the week and not just on Sunday.
There are a few other changes that have happened that I haven't talked about. There will be more changes that goes on this year and next year.

Church service is 2 hours on Sunday!
I remember when I was a young child going to primary during the middle of the week and being at church doing primary and than only a short time later it was changed to going to 3 hours of church service on Sunday.
January 6, 2019 was the first Sunday that church service started going for 2 hours. I was surprised of how fast that two hours went. It will definite getting used to and going to Sunday School and Priesthood meeting every other week instead of every Sunday.

Recent General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in October 2018
The changes that were announced about church services being from 3 hours down to 2 hours is not to surprising of happening. Since I had read of how the Sunday School material for 2019 will be church and home study and the rumors going around that it would be scaled down to 2 hours. Which means less church service at church and studying at home more.
Recently President Nielson did say that there were more changes coming in the next couple of years. It will be interesting of what changes that will occur. Though sad that some members of the church will have a hard time dealing with the changes that some will separate themselves from being members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Just be yourself.
I know that one should be themselves and not try to be anyone else. I have been told that number of times "Just be yourself". I know that at times I have in the past have done things that I normally wouldn't have done. I have told myself that maybe I should just not say anything to anyone by no texting, Facebook, emailing and just not say anything to anyone unless I had to. I realized that it would be lonely if I did that to stop all communication to my friends and family. That after a period of time that they would be worried about me and figured that something was wrong with me. I have tried that a few times yet only last about a week and a few days to where than I can't stand it anymore and talk to someone.
I know that everyone is busy with their lives in doing schooling, job, church, family duties and that chatting with me is the least priority.
I know that at times that I share my love to others in the way that makes me happy. It feels me less stress and feel loved at the same time when I share my love to someone.
Its hard at times because you can't please everyone. Trying to please everyone is awful and is not a healthy thing to do. That I should just be myself and if anyone doesn't like the way I am, than I just let them go.
I do thank those family and friends who do care for me and appreciate me the way that I am.

We are all hypocrites in one way or another.
I feel at times I can be a hypocrite. That I say one thing to someone and yet not mean what I say. Such as when I say I love everyone in the world. There are some people that I just have a hard time loving or even liking. Even those who are my friends I have a hard time telling them that I love them only because I don't know how they will react when I say it. As much as when I unfriend someone or treat someone in a bad way makes me think afterwords that I am being a hypocrite.
Being a hypocrite is not really a good thing to be. It is hurtful to say one thing to someone and turn your back on them the next second. Such as saying "I love you" and then later turn around and saying to someone else " I don't really love them".
I think we are all hypocrites in some way or another. None of us are 100% perfect humans. At times we say things we don't really mean and say something else. Christ can help us from being hypocrites. We turn to him and try to better ourselves and less of being hypocrites to ourselves and those around us.
We have to be true to ourselves and mean what we mean when we say something.

Enjoyed this last General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Being part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a great feeling to have. Every 6 months is General Conference where we get to listen to the prophet and the rest of the General leaders of the church. This past General Conference was quite a shocker. Changes we being made.
One change is that Elders Quorum and High Priests Quorum will now be combined into one quorum. So essentially have all the men 18 and older into one quorum. The only time you will not be in the quorum is when serving in the Bishopric, Stake Presidency, High Council or a Patriarch. That will be good change to happen.
The second change is that Home Teaching/Visiting Teaching will no longer be used. Now we will be known as Ministering Brothers or Ministering Sisters. We will still visit our families and see how they are doing.
Several temples being built. One in Russia and Layton, Utah will be great.

A review on Duck, Duck, Moose by Pink Umbrella Books.
This story is an amazing story to be shared of all ages especially to young children. It is geared to those of young child's age of learning to read. The pictures and colors are absolutely fascinating. I loved the rhyming of the words as well. The words just roll together in rhyming in a great way of reading to your child.
The message that is given is a great message about friendship. Where at a young age where a friend leaves for a while and don't know when that friend will return. I know for myself when a friend leaves, especially a great friend to play with, and not to have them around is lonely at times. Trying to make friends along the way is hard at times and the result at the end is a great ending for goose that he meets along the way.

Saying "I love you"
I just want to say that I thank those that have been followers of my blog all these years. It has been a while since I last posted on this blog. Now that I'm done with college and earned my Associates Degree in General Studies I could put it to good use and get me a full time job somewhere.
Love is powerful and is needed for hate is being to much in the media and everywhere else. Love is needed and will drive out the hate that has infested here in America. We are all humans and need that love to feel good about ourselves. Saying the words "I love you" has a big impact on the person you tell it to, that they know that someone does indeed care for them and feels great love towards that person. I am grateful for those who I say "I love you" to. Me saying it makes me feel good inside and makes the other person feel good inside. Especially when having a hard day and they don't feel that anyone cares for them and need someone to make them feel good again.
I love you!

A true friend.
What is a true friend? A true friend to me is one that is there during the hard times when trials and challenges come up and need someone to vent to or just help you through this ordeal to get to the finish line. One that doesn't leave you when life or your friendship gets tough. The ones that do leave you are not your true friends. They are only there just for show. They only care about themselves and not about you. A true friend goes beyond the normal and gives you an extra boost of positive energy to help you feel lifted up and not burden down on yourself. Sad to say there are those who will take advantage of ones friendship and bring you down to despair and make you feel worthless. You need to drop those friends immediately.
I'm 41 years of age and have seen a lot of true friends as well as fake friends in my life. The ones that are true friends are ones that I know I can depend on being there for me and to help me during my struggles in life. There are some that I consider more as an earth brother to me than as a friend. They understand who I am and know me personally. They know what I mean when I say something and not misinterpret it to mean something else. They allow me to vent to them so I don't have to hold it in me. Sad to say there are those who I thought were true friends to me and when the tough times came they were not able to hold on and couldn't bother being with me anymore. They left me alone and not bother to help me up. I do pray that they can forgive me and have had a few that have had their hearts change are forgive me and back to being true friends again. Where for the others I have never heard from and just pray that they can forgive me one day.
I strive to be a true friend to those around me. I know that I am not the best of friend at times and will make mistakes, but that I do have a heart that loves and I will not leave those who I have great love and respect for. I will stay with you during your easy times and when it is hard times I will still be there and not leave you in the dust.

Are you spiritual eyes open?
Are your spiritual eyes open? If they are open that is good, if they are close than open up your eyes.
When our spirit eyes are open we can see past what the worldly eyes view. We can see past the outside appearance of others and see their hearts instead. We can see the amazing nature and beauty of the Earth to which was made for us to enjoy. We can see the great miracles that happen everyday to us and to our loved ones.
Even though our worldly eyes may be open and can see everything, we have the option of either closing or opening our spiritual eyes and see what is beyond what our mortal eyes can see. I know I strive myself to keep my spiritual eyes open and at times as being a human my spiritual eyes may not be open all the way, but I am striving to open my spiritual eyes to see past what the worldly eyes view and be glad within my heart.

A video about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple clothing.
There are special buildings that one goes to when one gets close to God. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we have temples to where we go and get close to God. There is a video that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just came out with talking the scared type of clothing that we wear. Its a great video well done.
