Recent General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in October 2018

The changes that were announced about church services being from 3 hours down to 2 hours is not to surprising of happening.  Since I had read of how the Sunday School material for 2019 will be church and home study and the rumors going around that it would be scaled down to 2 hours.  Which means less church service at church and studying at home more.

Recently President Nielson did say that there were more changes coming in the next couple of years.  It will be interesting of what changes that will occur.  Though sad that some members of the church will have a hard time dealing with the changes that some will separate themselves from being members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Just be yourself.

I know that one should be themselves and not try to be anyone else.  I have been told that number of times "Just be yourself".  I know that at times I have in the past have done things that I normally wouldn't have done.  I have told myself that maybe I should just not say anything to anyone by no texting, Facebook, emailing and just not say anything to anyone unless I had to.  I realized that it would be lonely if I did that to stop all communication to my friends and family.  That after a period of time that they would be worried about me and figured that something was wrong with me.  I have tried that a few times yet only last about a week and a few days to where than I can't stand it anymore and talk to someone.

I know that everyone is busy with their lives in doing schooling, job, church, family duties and that chatting with me is the least priority.

I know that at times that I share my love to others in the way that makes me happy.  It feels me less stress and feel loved at the same time when I share my love to someone.

Its hard at times because you can't please everyone.  Trying to please everyone is awful and is not a healthy thing to do.  That I should just be myself and if anyone doesn't like the way I am, than I just let them go.

I do thank those family and friends who do care for me and appreciate me the way that I am.

We are all hypocrites in one way or another.

I feel at times I can be a hypocrite.  That I say one thing to someone and yet not mean what I say.  Such as when I say I love everyone in the world.  There are some people that I just have a hard time loving or even liking.  Even those who are my friends I have a hard time telling them that I love them only because I don't know how they will react when I say it.  As much as when I unfriend someone or treat someone in a bad way makes me think afterwords that I am being a hypocrite.

Being a hypocrite is not really a good thing to be.  It is hurtful to say one thing to someone and turn your back on them the next second.  Such as saying "I love you" and then later turn around and saying to someone else " I don't really love them".

I think we are all hypocrites in some way or another.  None of us are 100% perfect humans.  At times we say things we don't really mean and say something else.  Christ can help us from being hypocrites. We turn to him and try to better ourselves and less of being hypocrites to ourselves and those around us.

We have to be true to ourselves and mean what we mean when we say something.

Enjoyed this last General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Being part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a great feeling to have.  Every 6 months is General Conference where we get to listen to the prophet and the rest of the General leaders of the church.  This past General Conference was quite a shocker.  Changes we being made.

One change is that Elders Quorum and High Priests Quorum will now be combined into one quorum.  So essentially have all the men 18 and older into one quorum.  The only time you will not be in the quorum is when serving in the Bishopric, Stake Presidency, High Council or a Patriarch.  That will be good change to happen.

The second change is that Home Teaching/Visiting Teaching will no longer be used.  Now we will be known as Ministering Brothers or Ministering Sisters.  We will still visit our families and see how they are doing.

Several temples being built.  One in Russia and Layton, Utah will be great.

A review on Duck, Duck, Moose by Pink Umbrella Books.

This story is an amazing story to be shared of all ages especially to young children.  It is geared to those of young child's age of learning to read.  The pictures and colors are absolutely fascinating.   I loved the rhyming of the words as well.  The words just roll together in rhyming in a great way of reading to your child.

The message that is given is a great message about friendship.   Where at a young age where a friend leaves for a while and don't know when that friend will return.  I know for myself when a friend leaves, especially a great friend to play with, and not to have them around is lonely at times.  Trying to make friends along the way is hard at times and the result at the end is a great ending for goose that he meets along the way.
