Merry Christmas to one and all!

A short message.

A brief and quick message: That is sad that Christ is slowly little by little being taken away from our country government, schools, businesses, holidays (Christmas), etc. We need to stand up to those who are allowing this to happen. The less deal we have of having Christ being our main focus, the more problems and tribulation we are going to have and we only have ourselves to blame.

My belated 3rd year anniversary of doing this blog.

It just seems that I've passed my anniversary of doing this blog about a month ago.  This would be my 3rd year now doing this blog.  Happy belated 3rd anniversary for me of writing this blog.  I know that I am not writing as much as I have been in the past.  I hope that hasn't disappointed any of my fellow readers.  I will continue on writing, maybe not as much as in the past, and as long as I have readers that will read my blog.

Independance Day Message.

What I am grateful for this Independence Day?
  • Freedom of Speech, Religion, Press, Right to Assemble
  • Live in America
  • Live in Utah
  • A Constitution of the United States of America
  • Bill of Rights
  • Speak about how I feel about the government and the President and not be thrown in prison.
  • Have a day off from going to work.
  • To sing patriotic songs
  • Not be a slave to a king.
  • To be able to keep the freedoms that we do have.
  • To speak the truth for what I feel in my heart and not be ashamed.
I'm sure you are grateful for the same things I have listed.  This is a country that is a blessed country and will be a free country as long as we remain righteous and keep God in our country.  I know these are the last days and things with the government is not always the best right now.  I want to remain free and live in this free country and not be under some dictator or a king.  Let us speak the truth to our government and let them know how we feel!

Celebrating Fathers Day!

To all the Fathers out there, I wish you a great Fathers Day!  You deserve it!  Of all the good and hard work you do for your family.  I know that your children love you and are glad that you are there father.  May the Lord continue to bless you by being a great father to your family.

To those who are not fathers, like myself, I know you will be good fathers one day to your future children.  You don't have children right now, but when you do that you will be a blessed father to your child(ren) and that you will be a great father to your family.

I am glad to my Father in Heaven who gave me life so I can come down here on Earth to become like him one day.  To have the choice of choosing right and wrong.  That I know he will never leave me and will always be there for me even when I have chosen wrong.  I know he will always love me and wishes to bless me with blessings that I deserve when I obey him.

Men and Women dress modestly!

Summer is here and sometimes people like to have layer of clothes to thin for the body and like to show more skin then needs to be.  It drives me crazy to see guys working on the yard or jogging down the street with no shirt on.  It makes me want to throw a bucket of water on them and saying, "Hey put on a shirt, will you please?"  Yeah the guy looks handsome looking, but they can still do what they are doing with a shirt on instead of having it taken off!

Here are some pictures that show how we should dress.  Not to say that as men to go around wearing dress shirt and tie and women going around wearing dresses like its Sunday everyday, but enough that its best to not show much skin instead to show more clothing and less skin.  You can wear swim wear just try to pick the clothing that shows less skin and more clothing.  That goes for both men and women!

Go out and serve a mission.

Being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a great deal.  I served my mission when I was 20 years of age.  I went to serve in Houston East Texas.  It was hard at first though over time with the help of the Lord I was able to forget about home and went to work for the Lord.

I planted lot of seeds throughout my mission.  Some I was able to baptize while others only teaching them the gospel and having someone baptize them.  One person I baptized was a teenager.  He read the whole Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ, got baptized shortly after, was given the priesthood and then a year later went on to serve a mission up in New York, NY.   I am glad that I went to serve for the Lord for two years to my brothers and sisters.

Now that I'm older and am glad to see my younger relatives go on a mission and seeing them spreading the word of God is great.  Down the road when I feel along with my wife, as my companion, to serve another mission by serving the Lord where he needs the both of us to serve our fellow brothers and sisters.

For those who never served a mission as a young adult should still receive our love and friendship.

Missionaries are those who are sent out to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.  They are young men and women who give up their lives at home to served a full time mission.  Along with that they also give up going to college, pursuing their career, hobbies, vacation, friends, and family.  After serving a mission they are welcomed back home and continue on either finding a career, going to college, or getting married.  The spiritually is improved and have learned a great deal of other ways of learning to live with another person or two 24/7.

The other side of the coin of this is those who have the opportunity to go out and served the Lord, but for whatever reason they decline the offer and usually shunned for doing so.  They go about their lives as any other young single adult would do.  Continue on their career, hobbies, marriage, etc. to figure out what they want to do.

I served a mission for 2 years and am forever grateful that I did.  I learned lot from serving my mission and found great missionaries to be my friends for life.  I could have said no I don't want to, but I didn't.  Though along the way I have learned of others who decided not to do for whatever reason.  I would like to say I still love them as a brother or sister of God.  They are still as human as we are.  They will still go to heaven like we will.  They should not be shunned for not going on a mission.  They can't go back in time and decide to serve a mission at a young age.  They still have the opportunity later in their life with a spouse, if they get married, to serve a couple mission.  Yeah its not as good as a young adult mission, but its still serving one.  They will still get the blessings for doing so.  The Lord knows their hearts and desires.  He will not take their agency away just because they decline on not serving a mission.

Those who don't serve a mission while they were young still deserve our love and respect as neighbors, friends, and as a child of God.  Treat them just as you would treat them as one who did serve a mission.

Stand up to those who we are afraid of.

There are those type of people that torment us and because of that they have the advantage that they can do whatever they want to scare the wits out of us.  The more that we are afraid of that person the more they will maintain their presence of scaring us.  The only way to be not afraid of them is to stand up to them and show courage that we are not afraid of that person.  Then we have the advantage on our side and for that person now have no more reason to scare us and will leave us alone.

Take the story David and Goliath.  There was the Israelite army against this big huge giant named Goliath.  He was huge compared to the regular human size.  He would traumatize the Israel army for several days saying mocking God and saying how insignificant we were compared to him.  On the third day of this Goliath asked to send out someone that would be willing to fight him.  The leaders discussed on who to send.  David told them that he would stand up to this Goliath.  They were bit afraid to send out a young boy to do an older gentlemen job.  Though sense no one else was willing to do it, David went out the next day to face Goliath.  They gave him armor to defend himself.  David was too young and not fit to wear the armor and so David took off the armor.  He went up to face Goliath and as soon as David got up there, Goliath laughed in saying that they send this young boy to fight him.  David knew what had to be done.  He had a sling with him and was told by the Lord to get a stone to put inside his sling.  David got a stone to put into his sling and swung it around above his head several times and let the stone go.  The stone left the sling and hit Goliath straight in the forehead.  He fell down backwards, dead as a doornail.   David then went up to the giant and sliced off his head and showed the rest of Goliath's army that the giant was indeed dead.  This scared the giants so much that he fled.
Now had David or the rest of the Israel army, not faced Goliath or ran away from this big bully, Israel would have been in lot of bad stuff.  Instead someone stood up to this bully and faced him with courage and without fear.  This is the way we need to face the people who scare us.  Not to the extreme that we kill them, but to the point that we are not afraid of them.
In our community, schools, work places, families, etc.  let us stand up to those who bully us and tell them that we are not afraid of them.  Strength in numbers is better than being the only person being tormented. If you know a friend or a family member that is being tormented help them to stop the bully.
We need to stand up to bullys!

You are a handsome guy!

So apparently ladies can tell their lady friends that they are beautiful and yet us guys it’s bad for us to tell our guy friends they are handsome.  The guy may think, okay that is weird for him to call me handsome.  How come ladies can tell their friends they are beautiful and guys can't tell their guy friends they are handsome?
I have told several of my guy friends that they are handsome.  Some have accepted the compliment and acknowledge that they are indeed handsome.  While others thought it was weird for me to call them handsome.  They have their opinion and I acknowledge to their opinion to not be told from another guy that they are handsome.  I tell my guy friends to let them know that they are indeed a handsome guy.  Not in any way trying to send the wrong message to them, but to build their confidence in them.  Yes, some are married and get it from their spouse, while others are married and don't hear it being told they are handsome.  Some are single and may think they are not handsome because they can't get a date or get married.  Some have a rough childhood and never get told that they are handsome by their parents. They grow up to be adults and have then a hard time believing that they are indeed handsome when they have been told all their life that they are ugly.
I myself am a handsome person.  I have been told that I am indeed a handsome person from others.  Yes, there have been times I look at myself and say no I'm not a handsome person.  Though I know that is not me speaking. That is the devil and his followers that are making me tell myself that it is true that I'm not a handsome person and am an ugly person.  I brush that thought aside and tell myself, that thought is wrong, that I am indeed a handsome guy.  I tell myself that enough and they will resist on telling me the opposite for I will simply not listen to them anymore and not believe their lies.
I know that I may hit some nerves and I know that not everyone will like what I have to post.  That is their choice and if they disagree with what I have to say then I will be satisfy with it.  I would rather be told that I am a handsome guy then be told I'm an ugly guy.  Being told that I am a handsome guy brings up self-esteem and makes me feel better about myself.
I challenge you to tell another guy that they are handsome either by text, email, and call over the phone, or in person that the guy is a handsome person.  It can be a spouse, friend, sibling or a relative.  You do that and you will make there day as well as your day!

Slavery is against freedom.

I seem to have touched on slave topic several times already.  As I looked in the previous ones that I've done about the word slave it reminds me the awful cruel it is to be a slave.  I was thinking about what it means to be a slave.  Being a slave is that your freedom is taking away.

Are we a slave to these things, just to name a few items:
  • Money
  • Fame
  • Swearing
  • Working (spending more time at work then needed)
  • Pornography
  • Fear
  • Time
  • AND MANY MORE!
This is just a small list of things I thought of.  If you think about it, we could be a slave to just about anything.  The best thing to do is fight against it.  With the Lords help we can be able to overcome the things that we are a slave to.

FREEDOM FROM SLAVERY!!!
